Body Contouring Q&A
What is body contouring?
Nonsurgical body contouring reshapes the body with heat, cold, or radiofrequency energy. Most body contouring treatments target and destroy fat cells, but they can also tighten sagging skin, treat cellulite, and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. With several body contouring treatments in-office, Aesthetix Dermatology of Ft Lauderdale works with you to find a procedure that meets your needs and aesthetic goals. Are there different types of body contouring? We offer multiple body contouring treatments, such as:
CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is a fat-freezing treatment that uses cryolipolysis to destroy and remove fat cells from your body. The noninvasive procedure freezes your fat cells, forcing them to collapse. Once destroyed, your body’s lymphatic system naturally removes the cells.
EMSculpt
EMSculpt is a noninvasive body contouring treatment that uses high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM+®) and radiofrequency (RF) energies to build muscle fibers and reduce fat simultaneously. Treatments take just 30 minutes and can target the abdomen, buttocks, arms, and thighs.
FaceTite™ and AccuTite®
FaceTite and AccuTite are minimally invasive tissue remodeling treatments that use radiofrequency assisted liposuction (RFAL) to precisely remove fat and tighten the skin around the jawline, neck, eyes, knees, breasts, and arms.
During your consultation, your provider performs a comprehensive evaluation to determine the best body contouring treatment for you.
What can I expect from body contouring?
Body contouring treatments are noninvasive and cause minimal discomfort, but your provider may apply a topical anesthetic to improve your comfort. Most treatments take less than one hour to complete. You may experience minor swelling, redness, or bruising after your treatment, but these effects typically subside within hours.
How long will my body contouring results last?
Once your fat cells are eliminated, they can’t return, but new ones can form. You can maintain your body contouring results with a healthy diet and regular exercise. If new pockets of fat develop, you may return to the clinic for additional treatments.
